Humbolt Redwoods State Park

We left Crescent City and headed down Highway 1 along the California coast and through the incredible Redwood forest at the Humbolt Redwoods State Park. We were lucky and managed to find a spot at a camp site inside the park and got to pitch the tent in amongst some huge Redwoods. The camp site used to be a Home stead and overlooked a huge orchard where bears came to feast on the fruit, when we arrived we missed one that had just paid a visit. We were able to walk out of the campsite and straight into an incredible old growth forest, it was a pretty special place.
